In my original recipe, I included the infused oil benefits of St. John's Wort, Clove, Ginger, and Turmeric in Grapeseed oil. All incredible components for homeopathic pain relief. Since I'm constantly researching, I came across more information on essential oils specifically beneficial for neuropathic and nerve pain. My findings prompted an improvement to the recipe I use to make this fabulous salve for you.

What Makes Essential Oils Good For Nerve Pain? These are the qualities to look for:
💕 Analgesic – The analgesic properties of some essential oils give them the ability to numb or dull receptors, which means relief from pain. Example: Frankincense essential oil
💕 Anti-inflammatory – Anti-inflammatory compounds in essential oils help to reduce inflammation or swelling, including in cases of arthritis and tendinitis. Example: Sandalwood essential oil
💕 Antispasmodic – Compounds present in some essential oils have anti-spasmodic tendencies, which stop the spasming of muscles. They halt the transmission of parasympathetic nerve impulses and lessen muscle spasms. Example: Patchouli Essential Oil
💕 Sedative – Some essential oils have natural sedative properties, which help to induce calmness and promote sleep. Example: Lavender essential oil
💕 Nervine – Natural nervine compounds found in some essential oils have the ability to calm the nerves. Some essential oils like ylang-ylang and rosemary have potent nervine properties.

About the Ingredients:
♥ Herbal Pain Relief Oil Infusion: St. John’s Wort, Ground Cloves, Turmeric, and Ground Ginger infused in Grapeseed Oil (Hypericum perforatum, Syzygium aromaticum, Curcuma longa, and Zingiber officinale infused in Vitis vinifera seed oil): St John's Wort has anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties, has outstanding nerve pain-relieving qualities and is perfect for diabetic nerve pain in feet or legs or Fibromyalgia issues. Clove essential oil is used as a topical analgesic due to the constituent eugenol. Turmeric is renowned for helping relieve irritation, inflammation, muscular aches and pains, and itching associated with neuropathy, which can manifest as numbness, tingling, or pain in hands or feet. Ginger gives a slight warming sensation that can help relax and loosen muscles. It also has been shown to reduce inflammation and the pain associated with it.
♥ Beeswax: (Cera alba): Known mostly for its conditioning properties, beeswax also helps to calm and soothe. Another amazing ingredient made by bees is, beeswax helps soften and soothe skin.
♥ Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter): Repairing wrinkles, fine lines, and scars, Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory, Deeply moisturizing, Stimulating for the superficial microcirculation, Skin strengthening, Skin protecting, UV protecting, Skin regenerating. Production Process:
I make an infusion from the herbs mentioned earlier, Ginger, St. John's Wart, Cloves, and turmeric using grape seed oil. I let the infusion sit for a minimum of 3 weeks to a month in a sunny location on the homestead. I then blend melted beeswax and shea butter with the infused grape seed oil while adding the essential oils last after the salve has chilled for a couple of minutes.

Use Instructions:
Most beneficial when applied after bathing, showering, or a foot soak.
Using a small dab (a little bit goes a long way!), massage into sore achy muscles and joints or feet. If using for chronic pain such as nerve pain or arthritis, daily use is suggested and can take up to a week or two before you start seeing results.

Safety: Not for internal use. Do not use on open cuts or wounds. Not for use if pregnant or nursing. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid use around face and other mucosal membranes because it will burn. Take extra care to wash hands thoroughly after use or use gloves when applying the salve.
